Cleaning is often one stage of a wider paving refresh. Depending on the installation and condition, block paving may need kiln-dried sand replaced, natural-stone joints may need repair, and some surfaces may be suitable for sealing.
These are assessed and quoted separately so the recommendation fits the paving rather than being added automatically.

Loose paving, significant settlement and drainage problems may require remedial work before a cosmetic finish. We will identify visible concerns and explain when cleaning or joint repair alone is unlikely to be enough.

When the substrate and paving are sound, fresh joints or re-sanding can help complete the visual result. Any sealing proposal is subject to surface compatibility and suitable dry weather.

Planning your paving re-sanding, repointing and sealing
What is the difference between re-sanding and repointing?
Re-sanding replenishes suitable block-paving joints with kiln-dried sand after the surface dries. Repointing renews failed joints using a system suited to the paving and its construction. They are different operations, and the right option depends on the installation.
Should loose paving be repaired before the joints are renewed?
Moving slabs or sunken blocks need assessment before cosmetic joint work. Our patio restoration and block paving repair services consider support and levels alongside the surface finish.
Is sealing suitable for every cleaned surface?
No. The paving, any existing coating and the proposed product must be compatible. Preparation, drying and weather requirements also need to be met. We discuss sealing only where the assessment supports it.
Can I see different types of finishing work?
The Radcliffe project shows block-paving re-sanding; the Sherwood project includes paving repointing; and the Hucknall project records driveway sealing.
